The second edition of Zipper Open, held on the second floor of Zipper Galeria, expands the possibilities of collecting within the context of Zipper.
Since 2021, Zipper Open has been a complementary part of Zipper Galeria, exploring the fruition of the secondary art market. Inaugurated eleven years after the gallery opened in 2010, Zipper Open emerged as an arm of the gallery focused on the secondary art market. Concentrating on important contemporary Brazilian artists, Zipper Open offers a platform for the circulation of works for collectors, dealers and gallerists.
For those unfamiliar, the secondary market encompasses all subsequent transactions involving a work of art, representing not only the second, but all subsequent sales that the work may have.
The exhibition features a curation of works from the secondary market, bringing together works by some of the most important names in the Brazilian art scene. Paintings, sculptures and photographs by artists such as Tunga, Anna Maria Maiolino, Sandra Cinto, Antonio Dias, Leonilson, Nino, Geraldo de Barros, among others.
